The photographic venture allowing this publishing verges on the epic tale. The two Brethen endorsed by the District Board – almost like brave knights – paid visits to the Orients of Sardinia, traveling over three thousand kilometers long and wide. It’s affair of this long journey also a flat tyre replacemed on route 131 next to Campeda, at 2 a.m. The photos dates between May and December 2018. More than four hundred shots were taken with a Nikon D 800 Reflex, with the help of two ‘off camera’ flashes and a set of steady lights devised with shades. On the workstation, the post of digital negatives has demanded sessions for more than one hundred hours. Beyond the heroic aspects of this great challenge, the memories of reaching distant Orients and being warmly welcomed by Brethen, with merriment and fraternity, will stay strong. Precious feelings hard to abridge, unfading, like the pictures in this book.
